Why can't Black people mention our history without being accused of 'whining'?

Acknowledging that slavery and racism existed is not the same as pointing fingers and looking for reparations.

Yes, there are exceptions, and some people do whine and complain.
I keep reading, 'you didn't take part in slavery', which is true, but a lot of the underlying architecture that built the proverbial edifice of slavery still exists today. I agree with those whom state not to use slavery as a crutch, but that's not what I'm talking about. In a lot of instances, slight mention of slavery is immediately chalked off as complaining. Good answers though...keep 'em coming.
Also, not to detract anything from the struggles of Jewish people, but there are KEY differences between their situation and ours - past and present - that I don't want to indulge in right now.

because these folks expect us to forget what our ancestors went through...I WILL NEVER FORGET!!!...SO JUST CALL ME A WHINER PEOPLE!!!!!...lol

Some people simply do not want to acknowledge what has happened in the past. I have a friend who simply states that slavery was justified. Talk about messed up.
