why can we not make comments on the news and discuss it like I do on yahoo in Canada?

we have most popular etc. and can discuss events with each other interesting
if you click on Yahoo Canada and the news you will find comments and you can make your opinions known or e mail Yahoo and ask why we don't have this option here
I apologize This is just the News forum not Yahoo answers Totally separate
