Why can´t I install Macromedia Flash´s latest version?? HELP PLEASE?

Whenever I install the latest version, an animation pops up saying it has been installed succesfully.
And whenever I want to change my avatar, it still says I need the latest version!
I dont know what to do! this always happens! it happens with shockwave too

HELP HELP HELP PLEASE
