There are "millions" of people who have invested in this country. The businesses and corporations, energy, banks, real estate...I could go on and on. These people..along with the people who have or who are losing their jobs...also are losing money, property, their livelyhoods. Yet we don't here the President discuss what he is going to do for them. I am a disabled veteran, who has invested in this country for reasons other than I love my country. I invested for the reason of being financially safe. We all know how the market isn't a sure thing, but the people invest in the market, like me, search for financial stability through the strength of the American economy. I did it by working..like we all do from a young age...now I do it by the money I've saved and money I still get from my retirement.
My money..like millions of more Americans, is disappearing. Due to what is going on in this country..my money is vanishing. I think that the government should include the people who've invested in this country in the stimulus package. I don't mean to give me all the money I lost..but to discuss how to make it better for people like me. The Presidents stimulus includes people who have lost jobs..well..the investment world is like my job after retirment. We should be included in the stimulus package somehow. I can't go back to work. As I said, I'm disabled and unable to work now. I never needed the government to support me in the past and I would have liked for it to stay that way until they bury me. But..with the country the way it is right now, I believe I'm going to have to ask for help. I would like to know how many of you are gonna need help? People that have invested and are losing 40 to50% of their investments due to what has happened. Let me hear from you. Maybe we can let the government know that we are here too.
