Why aren't I producing breast milk?

I just had a baby about six days ago. I had her by way of c-section, but I nursed immediately after being stapled back together. She latched on just fine and I nursed her exclusively for the next four days. Everything was going just fine. But now that we're home, it's like I'm not giving her enough. Logic tells me that this is because I'm still only producing colostrum and she needs more than that to fill her up. I know that it takes a little bit longer to start producing the actual milk if you have a c-section, but six days seems like an awfully long time. My nipples are cracked and sore and we've been forced to use formula to be sure she is eating enough to gain healthy weight. I'd ask a lactation consultant, but it's labor day weekend and getting a hold of one is impossible. Is there anything I can do to start producing sooner??
