Why Aren't Condoms Provided in High Schools?

Lets face it.....there are plenty of teenagers experimenting and having sex.... and unfortunately, a lot of them AREN'T using protection. So since it's inevitable that teens will have sex, wouldn't it be a great step to provide condoms to them? Like providing them in the health office at high schools, or passing them out in the Sex ED class? ((they provide pads for girls in the health office, why not condoms)) Don't you think that could help prevent numerous teen pregnancies, and prevent the spread of STDs?
Heh, well if I were still in high school, I'd would definitely bring it up. I wish it would be more of a nation wide program for all high schools. I get the impression this wouldn't work especially in more religious cities.
To the fourth comment by Impulsive- I see your point. However, I think it would be very naive to expect that the only thing holding a curious horny teenager from having sex is that they don't have a condom. I think they're eventually going to do it. ((hormones)) So I'd at least want to provide them with SOME sort of protection.
To wildecat1- You can't really compare sex to "shooting up." Drug abuse is harmful to the human body and are by no means okay. Sex on the other hand, isn't. ((normal sex at least)) Sex is a normal, human day to day bodily function. It's natural. It's a lie to try and say it isn't. If anything, sex is way safer than something such as drugs.
