Why are we now going into Afghanistan? Isn't 6 years of war enough?

Jesus, Obama is now president and was the most anti-war candidate out of both parties. And now he is going to war in Afghanistan. Are the troops ever going to come home? At this rate, we're going to have to start exclusively setting up recruiter stations in 3rd world countries, as none of our citizens will join the military. Is war the only way to solve problems? How about asking why they hate us so much? That's not cowering, that's self discovery. We could use a good dose of therapy here in the US. We lack self awareness.
