Why are we discussing late night talk show hosts in the "politics" section?

This needs to be said. I am not condoning or rebuking what he said (though I do have an opinion on this.) Why don't people who are still obsessed with this take it over to television section or something. Then we could actually discuss politics.

This isn't actually a matter of politics. Just because it involves a politician does not make it political. His statement was directed towards a teenaged private citizen on a matter relating to her personal life.
 
You are a fool if you think entertainers don't shape public opinion and affect our elections.

It is indicative of the mentality of Americans - the vast divide between right and left.... those on the left accept the most bitter ugly things said and done to their opponents... they condone it... they laugh at it... if you think it's just entertainment... what about the 14 ethics violation charges against Palin which she was cleared of all 14? Nobody gives a rip. She was falsely accused and the justice system was abused as an election distraction. And this is acceptable to the left just like ripping her children to shreds... all in the name of politics?

Tell me, what kind of nation have we become?
 
Because America and Obama are succeeding, so Republicans are in full-on panic mode to find something to cling to. Bashing "liberal Hollywood" is an oldie but a goodie.
