If You Seek Amy

I was just reading about why some are against stem cell research. They said it's because it kills *potential* babies to find cures.

I have an issue with this.

a.) it's not killing any baby. That embryo is NOT viable until it's in a uterus and actually developing. In a petri dish - it really is just a ball of cells that will never develop into anything. But it could be used to save an already functioning human being. Now please correct me if I'm wrong if that's not how it works...seriously, I might be misinformed and I'd like to be educated on the manner if I am.

b.) Most of those embryos end up being thrown in the trash, and I don'y see any pro-lifers screaming about that? I mean WTF here?

c.) Our society also seems to put the women second, the baby first. If the woman was raped, many people say she should suffer anyway, because apparently the baby's future crappy life trumps the woman's?

I just don't get it.
