Why are there robins standing all over the place on the lawn during a snow storm?

There's a minor snow storm here in Ohio. It's about 29-30F here. All the birds have fled or roosted except geese (of course) and robins. They're just standing all over the place, making no effort to find spots sheltered from the wind.

What is wrong with them? This seems very unusual to me, especially for migratory birds.
