In baseball, I really cannot name ten players who have a uniform number that's 60 or larger. The same with hockey, basketball, soccer, and all the other sports that require uniforms. Is there a reason for this or not? (Football is the only exception I can think of, but I think it's because of the size of its rosters. But again, do players prefer the small numbers?)
Why are the uniform numbers from 60-99 rarely used in sports (excluding football)?
