HARTFORD, Connecticut - Connecticut's Supreme Court ruled Friday that same-sex couples have the right to marry, making that state the third behind Massachusetts and California to legalize such unions.
Those who say that their prejudice against another is based upon their religion are not that religious. They are using their religion to promote their own bigotry instead of following Biblical teachings such as "Do to others as you would have them do to you."~Luke 6:31 or "Do not judge, or you too will be judged."~Matt.7-1.
Marriage is regulated by the government, not the church, which is why the government is who issues marriage licenses.
