Why are the older boxers still in the sport?

I mean no direspect to any of the greatest in history but Im in boxing right now and I was just wondering why do guys such as evander holyfield,bernard hopkins and roy jones junior still in boxing I mean shouldn't they have already retired or something and what's up with mike tyson I mean people have been telling me that he is preparing for a comeback is this true and what about floyd mayweather jr is he ever going to step back into the ring and fight some of the new up and coming guys such as ricky hatton or someone and why did mayweather jr retire anyways I mean wasn't he and de la hoya supposed to have a rematch will that ever happen?
