Why are some people more likely to attract the attention of unknown oddballs and

eccentrics in public? No matter where I go or what I do they seem to hone in on me. I have in the past put this down to the fact I can't be rude or bad mannered to anyone, or that I maybe make more eye contact. Yet TWICE this week I have stood with my back to people, and they have still targeted me above anyone else in the vicinity!

Any ideas?
