Why are some people interested in the Jade Goody thing?

and dont tell me i am hard hearted..i have plenty of sympathy for people who deserve it
she a loudmouth tart with no decorum who's claim to fame was making a show of herself on Big Brother my getting her boobs out
she then sells perfume and other crap to the chavs of this world
she then reveals that shes a racist by bad mouthing Shilpa Shetty
the press then vilify her rightly so
ok she gets cancer but so do 100s of people every day in a far worse financial situation than her (shes a millionaire before all this)
her chav b/f beats up a 16 year old with a golf club

why are people so over the top with their faux sympathy for her

shes a total waste of food....ok she has 2 kids but people are dying every day in far worse circumstances than her

why are people so stupid and gullible over this?
people who are far more worthy of our support and sympathy die young every day.......this woman is example of all thats wrong in society today
answers 1 and 3 make me realise now that it is the foolish young women who dream about winning pop idol who cannot think further than the next soap opera that are to blame

Yeah, I know what you mean. I mean I feel sorry to hear about that she has cancer just like I would hear it about any other person, no one deserves it. But, everyone is acting like she is the only one who has cancer and kids at the same time!
People die everyday. Just because her life-story is practically broadcasted on T.V and the papers doesn't mean I should hear about it every second.
People die in far more worse situations than that. Some kids are left as orphans, because there parents have battled cancer. She has a big house, people to look after the kids and everyone behind her every step of the way. She's lucky to even have that!

Celebrity is the opium of the people - keeps 'em dumb and compliant - why worry about the recession when there's Jade's wedding to watch on the tellybox?
