why are so many people joining the army this year?

im pretty sure its because of the economy. i feel like these people just do it for the money. i wanted to be in the military since i was in middle school, and now everyones coming out of the woodwork trying to join. now if i tried to get in id probably have a wait of 6 months to get into basic. UGH. kinda irritates me..
i could be wrong so the question still stands....
i dont think they realize the dedication..i dont think money is a reason to possibly put yourself in a war....
 
i agree with all of them. most people are doing it cause they're out of work. im joining the air- force in a year or two. im going cause college and im a mechanic
