Why are so many home-schooled kids so weird?

I am not saying that all home-schooled kids are weird. I used to be on of them up to a certain point in elementary school. But, I'm half way through middle school now. Why are home-school kids so weird? I avoid any contact with home-school kids, but my parents know a lot of home-school parents from when I was in home-school groups a long time ago. I had to hang out with them twice in a month now to have dinner and hang out. I had to skip going to the mall with my friends, to hang out with these weird home-school kids who really need therapy. I am not stereotyping them or anything, or dissing home-school kids, but everyone of them I meet are so retarded and anti-social. So, I'm sorry if there's one or two of those weirdos that aren't that bad. But is it because they never talk to anyone except for at sports, events, and such or is it because their parents are over-protective or what?
