I recently was given a Citroen C1 as a courtesy car, and it was nice enough. A bit plasticky, but no more than you would expect. Anyhow, what I've noticed since then is that a lot of the small city cars all seem to have the same dash and layout. The Toyota Ayeo is identical to the C1 for instance, and I've just checked that online. They are completely the same.
So the question is, are the interiors of cars manufactured separately by someone else, or is there another reason why two car manufacturers would install exactly the same dashboard and cockpit design in their cars?
Edit - The Peugeot 107 is also basically identical
