Every other utterance is a monologue!
Practically every time the characters open their mouths, they deliver at least five lines. Was this the writing style of the time, or just the style of Shakespeare. Do the characters speak like this just so that the iambic pentameter can be heard, so that the characters will sound esteemed? Do they speak long-windedly simply because Shakespeare liked to write dialogue in the form of poems?
