Why are Samsung tv's more expensive?

Why are they? I'm currently looking at tv's and the Samsung tv's are like rediculously expensive. I personally don't like them because they have a weird frame rate. Could anyone explain why people think that style of frame rate is good? My grandparents have a new 55 inch samsung and whenever we watch any movie the characters look weird whenever they move. So yeah i guess thats 2 questions. They are again- 1. Why are Samsung tv's better 2. Why do they have that weird frame rate problem
