School districts have proved over and over again that pouring more money into the school systems aren't going to improve them. I will give you a perfect example. Recently, the Chicago Public School system has been complaining that they need millions of additional dollars for their schools. They compare their per student spending with "rich suburban schools". The problem is that they want the same as the top spending school district. The CPS already spends more money per student than 80% of the schools in the state of Illinois including most suburban schools. This spending hasn't improved their graduation rates, standard testing scores or any other standard of education. They rank among the bottom 10% of school districts in the state.Spending more money isn't always the answer. Do Democrats understand that?
