Why are Repcons for Big Oil subsidies but against subsidies for Renewable energy?

Basically they want their grand kids to wake up one day with the world realizing that the earth can't pump out oil fast enough to meet economic growth demands and then there's this super huge teeth gnashing economic recession / depression.. because their conservative grandfathers didn't give a crap enough to make the necessary shift to another form of energy paradigm bro.. so you have all these rich grandkids sitting around.. sure their conservative pappy left them a buttwad of cabbage bro, but didnt' leave them any oil for their fertilizer.. and they're like "crap! I can't eat all this money.. this sure blows!".

Big Oil make record shattering profits and the RepCons want to let them keep their $4 billion a year tax subsidies but they want to eliminate Renewable energy tax subsidies which really need it.

I’m conservative, and I’m not for Big Oil subsidies simply because I do not believe any companies should be getting subsidized to do their job. Tax breaks are a different issue however, certain tax breaks are put into place to make sure that smaller companies can survive in this industry, and it wouldn’t be constitutional to give preference to certain companies in the same industry. The difference between oil and renewable energy is that renewable energy losses money every single year in terms of how much they are subsidized, and their profits. Currently, there is no viable alternative that can replace oil, and until there is, I don’t wish for my tax dollars to be wasted on special interest projects that just waste tax payer money and don’t show positive results.

Because conservative Republicans are hypocrites. They rely on parading around the hypocritical positions of liberals in order to distract people from their own blatant hypocrisy.

A certain liberal senator prevented a wind farm from being built off Nantucket because it would "ruin the view" from his mansion. Democrats are not for renewable energy sources. They had ample chances to push for them when they controlled Congress.

Wrong. I do not support subsidies for Big Oil companies. The fact is: the Oil companies pay more in tax per gallon than profit per gallon so that should make you very happy.
Anybody inventing renewable energy sources are going to make a mint, so they need no more encouragement than, say "becoming a millionaire" like any entrepreneur.
