My parents bought a prescription drug in South America, and they were surprised that it only cost them 1/3 of the price it's being charged in the U.S.
Why? Are there any other reasons, besides our economy being capitalistic, that they're so expensive?
Well, they can lose money by making them so expensive. I mean, people can get it without insurance from another countries, and therefore the company that produces such medicine will lose U.S. money.. they probably sell it cheaper to other nations.
Americans are being tough on Americans. I mean, a lot of the U.S. jobs were given to China and India. And the medicines are way overcharged to Americans, but not so to other nations.
How unfair.
