Why are people whining about the New England Patriots not getting in the playoffs?

Honestly, they aren't that good, just because they have an easy schedule and a decent record doesn't mean they're automatically in. You see cries of unfairness from all the yahoo sports contributors like the Pats making the playoffs is a given, seriously, the NFL playoff system is fair, get over it Pats fans.
 
a) I've heard more whining about Patriots fans whining than I've actually heard anyone whine about the playoff system.

b) The Patriots are a great team and what they have done with an injury-ravaged roster is nothing short of amazing. I don't care how soft you think their schedule is, every team they played this year is a professional team.

c) We know the playoff system is fair. Sure it feels kind of bogus that an 8-8 team can make the playoffs while an 11-5 team watches from home, but we all know the system.

d) Get over yourself.
 
because they had the perfect season last year, everyone expected some more out of them this year.

Get over it, the Browns went 10-6 last season and didn't make the playoffs, while a couple of teams went 9-7 and went to the postseason.

Don't you think that the Pats should have beaten the Chargers, the Jets (again) or the Dolphins (first game) instead of waiting for them to lose?
