Why are people so sensitive on the issue of Gays in the military?

I mean, i'm not a homophobic, and i support gay people. Now if i was a soldier in infantry, i wouldn't give a damn if the person next to me was gay because i'd be too worried about how to not get myself killed in combat, and i'm pretty sure a gay person in the military is too worried about keeping themself safe to worry about crushing on someone. I think some people in the military worry about petty things way too much, and it takes away from them doing their job or task properly. And anyone who wants to join the military and risk their life to defend and protect a country that has been built on lies and corruption will get no hate from me.

Anyone agree with me, or do i sound like a spaz?

Homophobia is caused by cognitive dissonance when your spiritual leaders tell you that they are bad/evil/wrong but your rational mind is forced to do pretzel logic to figure out why.
