why are people so brainwashed into thinking weed is bad?

if you watch run from the cure on youtube you find out that hemp oil created from marijuana fully cures cancer, supresses diabetes, ALS, alzhiemers. It can replace 90% of the pharmisuducal industry, and hemp can replace cotton and make your clothes more durible then you can recycle your clothes into paper. thats one of around a thousand benificial uses for hemp. It can create millions for the govt. So Ive been thinking why is it illegal in the first place. most say that its the health industry holding up the legalization, but if they are afraid of the heath industry falling because of it, then why dont they control the sales and survive off of that? and dont tell me that marijuana cannot be taxed because its a plant and can be grown anywhere, if its a product, they can tax it just like they tax tobacco, you dont see neone trying to grow that at home because they can get it at a store. there sre so many more reasons marijuana is good if legalized. my mom looks down on me like I am stupid because i smoke weed, when I send her the link to run from the cure she wont even look at it because she is already brainwashed even though her father just died a painful death from cancer and he could have been saved. why dont people just look at all evidence before they say something is bad. please pardon my spelling
