why are people saying that there is a huge storm coming to california!?

People are saying that it will destroy mostly all california....a whole group of people are saying that we should move to a far away place except california because there is something huge coming....is it true should we move can u explain to me more please....i need help oh and someone told me that we should move before march something before it comes...!!!
