Why are people into jdm honda ricers ?

ive owned muscle cars my whole life right now i have a ws6 i have friends that own jdm honda rice boxes they think there fast but when i race them and i smoke them there surpised like they think that they where sapost to win , jdm shit is over rated there just following the crowd and i just bought a 1994 integra 5 speed its the slowest thing ive ever drivin my moms grand prix is faster why do up hondas there not meant to be fast
