Why are people calling phosphorous flares 'bombs'?

Its phosphorous flares. They burn for light.

Every army in the world uses them at night.
Yeah, phosphorous as a weapon was used in like Veitnam.. people used to carry around cans of oil to put on a wound to stop the burning.

That was 40 years ago LOL
 
Is chemistry still being taught in highschool? This is what i was wondering.;

I think so many of these people are not very smart and see this bright light coming from burning the phosphorous in the air during night operations and they're all "Oh my gosh, its a bomb!"

Funny how people can't tell the truth anymore to use against Israel.. it must be only lie after lie after lie.
 
Yeah you need to light up an area to see where your dropping your bombs. US Artillery 4 years.
