Black African civilizations have been stereotyped, maligned, distorted, and marginalized to justify the Mid Atlantic and Arab (Islamic) slave trade. Black Africa is not only the cradle of humanity, but civilization as well. Many non African people are ignorant about the scientific, cultural, and mathematical contributions made by black Africans. People of black African descent have contributed heavily to the development of philosophy, Trigonometry, geometry, binary language (Sand divination worship of 1's and 0's), astronomy, and world architecture. Black scholars ranging from Imhotep to Akhenaten have made serious contributions to the world. The Europeans of the 1600's could not claim black Africans to be inferior and at the same time credit their race for erecting the great Pyramids of Giza found in Ancient Kemet/Kush (Egypt) and the pyramids erected by the great Nubian civilization. Geneticist have proven that the Egyptians of 4,000 yrs ago are closely related to the black people found in modern day Sudan, Ethiopia, Somolia and Eritrea. The original Nile valley inhabitants did not start off being mixed with Assyrian, Persian, Greek, Turk and Arab blood. These admixtures came later with each new invasion. In fact the ancient Egyptians had the following DNA types: L3 maternal, E3b paternal and YAP. In comparison African Americans like myself who descended primarily from West Africans have similar DNA types like L3 maternal, E3a paternal and other minor admixtures. Why do European, N. American, Mid Eastern societies refuse to educated their children about Africa's other great black empires like Nubia, Mali, Timbuktu, Ancient Ghana, Aksum, Great Zimbabwe, Nok, Benin and Abyssinia? All you have to do is pick up a book!!! The black Arabized Moors, not the Arabs passed knowledge and learning to the Iberian peninsula and gave rise to Europe's renaissance in Spain. Arabs called themselves Arabs -not Moors. The word "Moor" means black or dark skinned. The Romans gave the West Africans the name (Maurus / Moor) when they visited the nation today called "Mauritania" in ancient times. If you travel through the museums of Europe you will see many paintings that depict the Moors. They are always depicted as very dark skinned black Africans. Truly Africa's history and legacy have been stolen and ignored by many. As I become more educated about this fact, I can no longer sit back and watch ignorance continue.
Why are non blacks so ignorant about black civilizations including Egypt?
