Is swine flu 'the big one'?

Public health experts have long feared a new flu could appear and kill millions worldwide.

I UNDERSTAND ITS POTENTIAL BUT WHY OVERWHELM THE POPULATION FROM RIGHT NOW!!! I usually don't type in capital but every headline i see makes me feel like theres a sick hog knocking on my door! for real all this for attention? and ratings?
 
You better take notice along with everyone else.

Millions died world-wide approximately 100 years ago from the last one?

For 1 thing people like death and destruction...it sells...there are about 6billion people on this planet..and so fasr only ....maybe 100 have died..and maybe 100 are sick from this flu....the flu is reported to have become known around April of this year...that means more people have died and been injured in auto accidents in the same time...approx 3000 die in car accidents just in the U.S alone.
The swine flu is controllable..granted there will be some deaths..but car accidents are not.
The common cold kills approx. 4000 per year in the U.S....the more exotic the name..the better to scare people to watch and read the news.
 
scarring the populous with pending pandemics keeps the masses focus else ware , allowing the elected officials to dig deep into the working classes pockets for every extra cent they don't have, so the elected officials can continue with their bloated pork barrel projects.

Please update yourself on the CDC's web page regarding the virus.

There are already 2 drugs on the market for it because this outbreak has happened before, but it never turned epidemic.

But if you really want to be paranoid, the flu can be spread by handling money......
 
The problem is is the news say nothing then people complain about why the were not warned. The Australian government has put out a warning and several state governments have had to test people. The news has to report that.

However, more information like symptoms, how to catch it etc should be put out. It is scary but like anything else people need to take some responsibility for themselves.
 
The swine flu has killed 60 already.The experts are afraid of it be coming a pandemic and fast.The swine flu is so worry some because 20 cases have been found in America and there is no vaccine .
