Why are my photos not sharp even though I use a Canon 60D with a 580ex ii

speedlite on a tripod? I put the speedlite on ettl mode and the camera on "P" mode with the ISO at 800 (I raised the ISO after getting the same poor results at ISO 100-400)
I have a canon 18-135 mm f/3.5 lens on my camera
