when i do an oil painting using daler rowney georgian oils by the time i've come back to it the next day it has dried a bit and by the third day is tacky and un workable. my understanding is they take weeks to dry. even by the second day when i go back to it its still not really that workable because its dryer than the day before. whats going on???
i've tried using mediums like linseed and the paints still dry but also look to shiny!! so that's not working for me either.
i use lamps to light my paintings and i wonder if that is maybe drying them quicker? or could it be the temperature of my room? please help a maddened and confused artist : )
