Why are my .gif images on tumblr so small compared to the other ones?

I know it cant be larger than 500 kb and to do that i have to shrink the image to like 250x150 or something really small.

Is there a way my .gif can be pretty large like this one http://30.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_lefoaaYZAx1qd608jo1_500.gif

How do they do that? smaller frame count, color changing? help please

i use photoshop cs5.
