I recently moved my fish from a 10gal to a 20gal. They had no problems with the fish tank light before as it was just a small compact. This is a fluorescent, 15w bulb (the smallest I can find), and it still scares the bejesus out of them. Infact I've resorted to leaving it off at all times because if it's on, they'll just hide away under a plant and wont even come out to eat.
Is there anything I can do to help them get used to the light? It kind of ruins the point to have a dark aquarium in the living room.
