why are my fish dieing?

ive had a tropical fish tank for a few months now ive cleaned the filter treated the water i went away for a few days put in a slow release food block came back yesterday the fish where fine got up this morning and nine had died anyone got an idea whats goin on the otheres are swimming upsidw down or on thier sides
 
it could be the water temperature changed, or something got into the water and changed the ph value. maybe you used bad water. it could be a ton of things, really.

You probably have a toxic buildup of ammonia and nitrites in your tank. You need to do a water change.

You should test the water and research the nitrogen cycle. Cleaning the filter is generally a big no-no because all of your necessary bacteria live in there.
