Why are Mormon Missionaries so reluctant to debate their beliefs?

Are they afraid that we will ask about the Temple Ceremonies or garments or Pay,Lay,Ale or something?Perhaps they are afraid we will ask them about The Mountain Meadows Massacre or something?Dont worry I wont bring that up.
