...week more than $1 down to $2.45? Before I was told that food prices were so high because of gas prices, but now a barrel of oil is what under $80 a barrel, what else is the reason? I've heard of a short food supply, but these food companies keep coming out with new products. I just don't understand, today I went to the grocery store and I saw a 24 pack of soda for $10 and it was on sale. I also saw a box of taco shells for more than $4. This is crazy ( there were many other ridiculous prices). I'm just getting fed up, the price of gas went down and now the price of food is rising. Whats the deal?
I get nervous sometimes that I won't be able to feed my family.

ya i heard about that its got something to do with the economy slowly getting worse first it was gas and then when ppl weren't able to pay they had to decrease that so that ppl could be able to buy it again and then the food prices are goin up because it cost s much for food to be transported back and forth from place to place even with the gas prices the way they are ...try buying locally i heard that helps...

It's ridiculous trying to keep kids fed and gas in tank!
I had heard soda was rising.I notice i grabbed one that was on sale thought it was 24 pack it was 20 for 7.00 coke a cola.Thats a sale!??
I go once a week to stock up it hurts me to pay 276.for bread?
and 4.00 for milk we can go through a loaf and gallon a day!

I think we need to write congress and senate and ask them to feed for thier families on min.wage income see if they can do it w gas prices...?for one month its all we are asking!

News Flash. The vultures have seen a crack to justify price increases and they will exploit it as long as they can get away from it. Don't buy the name brands and buy only what you need. I know it's hard but maybe if enough people do it they will see the effect.

The upcoming election has everything to do with gas prices, since this is such a basic concern for all citizens. Food prices are so varied and there are so many items to be considered it is impossible to actually demonstrate how the government is trying to help Joe Citizen. The price of gas is paramount in determining the cost of all food products, since food distributors need to get their product to the stores - thus needing gas to power the trucks taking the food to markets. Lowering gas prices is a "blanket" way to show people the 700 billion dollar bailout is worth the price to every Joe Citizen.
Every economical issue one can come up with is in some way, politically motivated.
You are not alone, most all of us are very concerned as to how we are going to feed our families. Be assured the government could care less about we Joe Citizens. Even with all that said vote carefully, but do vote.
