Why are flash games going slow?

When I'm playing flash games online I notice that when there are to many things going on on the screen then it gets slow. Is this a ram thing and is there anything that I can do about it. I'm using a Lenovo tablet laptop. I notice this especially when playing bloons tower defense 2
