Why are democrat administrations perceive as less warlike than republicans?

As an outsider (I'm an Aussie) it certainly appears that the Republican Party is more proactive when it comes to military offensives. The Democrats, in contrast, seem to rely heavily on a reactive approach. The outcome of this is that Republicans are seen as bullies starting a fight; e.g. destroying a budding terror cell by bombing it's headquarters before any terrorist attacks can be carried out; while Democrats are seen as peacemakers; e.g. stepping in, once the war has been won and lost, to broker a peace deal, or to provide aid to the injured.
Throughout American historian, the motives for going to war have been questionable on both sides of the political divide.

It really comes down to marketing. They are very good at making up stuff ("death panels"), stereotyping (welfare queens buying Cadillacs [Reagan]), and driving home a message. Fox News, radio, the Washington Times all put out a single message, responding to all things, all the time. For example, to get Obama's Bin Laden story off the front page, they drummed up a story about the singer Common. To derail his peace efforts, they lied about the controversial "67 borders" issue.

The history of political so-called 'debate' in this country is populated with such foolishness for the last 3 odd years.

Because they talk a better talk. Both parties are the same, it's just that Democrats tend to come off as more passionate and believable than republicans most of the time.

democrats like to smoke more weed, which makes them all mellow and republicans like getting blasted on alcohol and that gives them beer muscles and act all crazy like the wanna fight everyone.
