Why are black girls often shown as "side-kicks" to white girls in high school dramas?

I think black girls are gorgeous and I am in no way a racist.

But Why are black girls often shown as "side-kicks" to white girls in high school dramas? And why are black girls often the "bi t c hy " or "funny" ones in these dramas?
what's wrong with the american media? can't they get out of that?
