Why are all PS3 display models freezing up.

It seems everywhere I go, the display PS3 is frozen and broke. It's about 66% chance that its broken. I've only seen about 3 workable models.

What gives?
 
someone said that moto game is suppossed to reboot automatically after 15 minutes of non-use and it doesn't, it just hangs

i've seen a ton of them frozen
 
Let's see, the machines are on 24 hours a day...most of the time with people playing it, restarting it.....the machine will eventually stop working. The consoles are also in boxes with no outside air.
 
please don't say "they are overheating from being inside the plastic shell"

no, they aren't, and i've seen proof of it when the one dude at gamestop opened up the bottom cage to restart the ps3. the thing you see up top is just an empty shell with leds to make it look real.
 
you sir are correct. Same way we have em at work. The real ps3 is located at the bottom of the Kiosks with a huge ass fan at the top left next to the ps3. But it can still overheat since everything is so compact.
 
someone should do a test then. put a blanket over a ps3 and see what happens.

then leave a ps3 in open air and run the demo disk and see what happen
