Why and how do you think teenagers get influenced by TV and games.?

I mean like governments blaming games/music/TV/cinema for increase in crime etc. For example Marilyn Manson getting blamed for Columbine shooting. (although I'm not saying that he did or do I believe his music had anything to do with it)
