Why am I seeing rust colored spots on the base of my blueberry bush stems?

Hi, I was recently looking over my blueberry bushes to check for disease and pests when I noticed some rust colored spots on some newer shoots. I have to bushes that have been established for 4 years and I've never had problems like this before. What could be causing this??
