Why am I not appearing on cam using stickam live-chat?

I just purchased a macbook pro as a graduation gift. I kind of know my way around macs because most of my family owns one.

The question is, when I'm on stickam and I do a live-chat how come I'm not appearing on the screen? It's just the mic that's working. Any mac owners know? Thanks.
