Why am I freezing cold all of the time?

TaCot, Hi, are you still or now have restless legs. Isn't that the worst thing to go through. I can take a lot but not that. Would are you doing for your restless legs. Take care Lyn
 
OK, I will be off of the pills for 6 days at 4:00 today. I really do feel good, but am not able to get warm. I wear my coat in the office, with a second coat on my legs. I can't get warm at home either. Is this a w/d symptom? I used to get hot flashes when I was taking the hydrocodone, and that stunk, but this is annoying. I carry around a hot cup of tea all of the time because my hanRAB are like ice constantly. I was just curious of this was normal. I feel great otherwise.
 
Hey yourself, Angel. I am not having the restless legs any longer. I swear that by either drinking a can of V-8 per day or eating bananas, it helped me. The potassium is what you need to calm your legs down. I thought that was the worst thing ever. I always felt like my legs were going to jump out of my skin. I hope you get some relief very soon. Hi, I know exactly how you feel. Yes I am freezing cold all of the time and I just can't get warm. I even put the fireplace on and the heat was right on me and I am freezing. I believe it is withdrawl for sure. I am off suboxone 9 days today and am suffering something terrible. I can't sleep or sit still, seems like I have some energy but that is really a lot in my legs being restless and the top part of me too. My hanRAB and feet are freezing all of the time even under warm blankets and heating paRAB. I hope you feel better soon (and I hope I feel better soon). How are you sleeping. I have had about 5 hours sleep in 9 days and can't take much more. Why is this happening. Why don't they tell us that when they start us on suboxone. This withdrawl is way worse than going off of the opiates. Take care.....Lyn in Michigan.
 
I'm so glad I read this!

I'm currently taking vicodin, still using the drug but tapering down. For the last few weeks I have been FREEZING all of the time. I thought it was just the colder weather, but I'm in AZ and it hasn't been THAT cold. Hubby has been wearing shorts, while I'm sitting at my computer shivering, with one of those microwave heat wraps on my feet.

Hey, I have been thinking about you. I have been sleeping pretty good, but if I can't sleep, I take as dose of Nyquil. I am coming off hydrocodone, and not suboxone, and I hear coming off of suboxone is worse. 5 hours of sleep in 9 days!!! That is terrible. God, I am so sorry. That stinks. I truly hope that you can get the sleep you need soon. I have to laugh when you talk about your fireplace. I turn on our gas fireplace at home and lie down on the floor in front of it, with blankets all around me. My husband is practically sweating in the house!! I am sitting here at my desk with a fleece coat on and one wrapped around my legs. If I could wear gloves and type, I would do it!! Keep it up, you are going good, even though you are exhausted, you are healing.

I have heard of this being a w/d symptom from others! The good news is though is that this should be coming to an end soon because you are on day 6!!! WOOOHOOOOO And.. not just day 6.. Day 6 after a taper program so I would think this can't last much longer...

Your welcome. Good for you for tapering down. I didn't have that bad of time at all tapering. In fact, I was surprised at how easy it was. I think I was expecting the worst. I tapered over 2 months. Good luck to you and keep warm ;)
