Why am I being judged for having a baby with my boyfriend instead of a husband?

Jeez... We're in a committed relationship and have been together longer than most marriages last.

Why is there still such a stigma attached to not being married???
 
I had been with my (now husband) for 8 years when I got pregnant & had people judge me too. I'd get questions all the time like "are you guys gonna get married?" i say fack 'em. it's none of their damn business! if people make comments to you, respond with something about how a.) its none of their business like i said and b.) since most marriages end up in divorce anyways, why does it matter to them whether you're single now or later?? assholes.
