Our Kitty started losing weight 3 weeks ago and was vomiting all the time. The vet gave a full blood panel which cost $350, nothing abnormal at all and yesterday took ex rays of chest and stomach, another $350 because he was starting to really suffer, vomiting everything he ate immediately. Today we had to go back to have him euthanize our cat because he was now suffering a lot. Nothing was abnormal but an enlarged heart and dialated esophagus We just looked at the bill which was another $350, $150 to have him cremated the balance was for the shot and $44 was because we wanted to be present when he gave Charlie the shot. We are totally disgusted at this charge, we were in and out, no extreme emotion he had to deal with, he didn't even give him the extra shot to relax him, just the shot to put him to sleep. I am furious at this vet, we have 5 animals, one being a bulldog who was in his office every other week when he was a puppy and we have been going there for over 10 years. I can't even imagine how much money we have given this guy in the 10 years. He charged us $1,000 to fix the bulldog which I thought was insane. I have not questioned any of these charges but this $44 just crossed the line for me, am I wrong????
