Also, it can be a discussion of which manga/anime characters are the most like you

Well, I have a bunch but now, I'll narrow it down to seven:

Son Goku from DRAGONBALL (Voice Actors: Masako Nozawa (JP)/ Sean Schemmel (ENG))

My female half, Konata Izumi from Lucky ☆Star (Voice Actors: Aya Hirano (JP)/ Wendee Lee (ENG))

Shugo Kunisaki (my namesake) from .hack// (Voice Actors: Junko Minagawa (JP)/Bryce Papenbrook (ENG))

Hikaru Shidou from Magic Knight Rayearth (Voice Actors: Hekiru Shiina (JP)/Julie Maddalena (ENG, TV series)/Tara Jayne (ENG, OVA))

Gene Starwind from Outlaw Star (Voice Actors: Shigeru Shibuya (JP)/Bob Buchholz (ENG))

Noboru Takizawa from Honoo no Tenkousei (Blazing Transfer Student) (Voice Actor: Toshihiko Seki (JP))

Ryoko from Tenchi Muyo! (Voice Actors: Ai Orikasa (JP)/Petrea Buchard (ENG, 1st)/Mona Marshall (ENG, 2nd))

Lina Inverse from Slayers (Voice Actors: Megumi Hayashibara- my favourite female voice actor/singer (JP)/Lisa Ortiz (ENG, CPM)/Cynthia Martinez (ENG, ADV))

I'll post pictures of them later, but here are my current picks:

I know its not right to post more than 1 favorite anime character from the same series, but I just can't help that YYH has so many awesome characters. Anyways, my favorites are:

Shinobu Sensui (Yu Yu Hakusho)

Kurama (Yu Yu Hakusho)

Kuwabara (Yu Yu Hakusho)

L (Death Note)

Yukishiro Enishi (Rurouni Kenshin)

Spike Spiegel (Cowboy Bebop)

Goku (Dragonball manga)

Also, and honorable mention is Killua, from Hunter X Hunter, who may just become one of my favorites by the end of the Chimera arc. He's been developing and improving a lot, as a character, and has begun to truly impress me with the way in which he has learned to react and adapt to intense situations, while still keeping himself calm and collected in the heat of battle.

Not at all. I'm a male and I usually end up liking the female characters on shows.

BTW, one of my favorite anime characters of all time is Washu from Tenchi Muyo!.

Also, Vegeta from Dragon Ball Z

And Vash the Stampede from Trigun.

I just give the tops on my infamous list And I'm too lazy to find pictures.

1. Kurama (Yu Yu Hakusho) - Of all the YYH characters, I find him the most intriguing. He was a legendary bandit for a good thousand years before he was forced to take a human guise. But humanity affected him deeply and he's left to decide where he stanRAB in his identity tug-of-war. A brilliant tactician, intensely loyal, a loving son and merciless fighter... yeah, that's my boy.

2. Suzaku Kururugi (Code Geass) - I have a thing for the angsty bishies, what can I say. Suzaku intrigued me initially because of his fervent adherence to the rules. He seems naive when it comes to battle and killing, but he's an ace pilot who has a dark history. Doesn't help that his best friend happens to be his worst enemy. And for all the talk that he's a traitor... meh. I find his actions very understandale and I found him relatable.

3. Tamaki Suou (Ouran High School Host Club) - Probably the most genuine character I have ever seen in a series. Every compliment he gives to the customers of the Host Club are genuine; he thinks every girl is a princess. He's goofy and happy, but a sad past and family life underlie his smile. He's an intensely loyal friend and affects people without realizing it. He's charming and the true prince character. And he's completely dense when it comes to himself but he's slowly understanding himself when it comes to Haruhi.

4. Allelujah Haptism (Gundam 00) - The soft-spoken, more mellow of the Gundam Meisters. What really sold me on him was in episode 5 of season 1 when he completely ignores his mission plan to rescue some civilians and then has no remorse after being punished for it. You see he is a genuinely caring guy, though he has an alter-ego, Hallelujah who isn't quite so nice. The dichotomy between the two is really fanscinating.[xspoiler=Season 2 spoiler]And AllelujahxMarie is squeeful cute.[/xspoiler]5. Death the Kid (Soul Eater) - My most recent addition to the list as I only recently caught up with the Soul Eater manga (working on the anime). I was told I would love him because he was the Sasuke-character of the group but didn't suck, and what do you know, I do love him. Shinigami's son, he's an very talented fighter with a lot of power. But he's also OCD and everything has to be symmetrical or he freaks out. The way he can go from one to the other in an instant is hilarious. Love him.

6. Roronoa Zoro (One Piece) - Three-sword wielding first mate of the Straw Hats. How can you not respect how awesome he is? I mean really. His horrible sense of direction is hilarious, too.

7. Sasuke (Naruto) - Formerly #2 or #3 on my list, part 2 has really dropped him a lot. Again, I have an angsty bishie complex so I can just completely give up on him. When everyone hated him at the end of part 1, I defended him. But now I'm having a harder time but I refuse to give up on him. Mostly I'm too stubborn to stop liking him o.o;;

8. Yuki Sohma (Fruits Basket) - The adorable rat. Again, it's the angsty bishie complex and I, for whatever reason, found him more appealing that Kyo. I was initially a YukixTohru shipper, but I got over that with Machi's introduction in the manga. The way he's always fighting with Kyo cracks me up and it's fascinating to watch him come out of his shell as Tohru influences him to open up and his student counsel frienRAB really help him move on. Kind, caring and loyal... and yet he's not the dog of the Zodiac

9. Future Trunks (DBZ) - My username namesake. He was the first bishie that I really liked. Time-traveling, sword-wielding, bad-guy stomping awesomemess. Hurable and soft-spoken, you'd never think he was Vegeta's son except for his strength.

Hmm... well, there's way too many characters in total to list, but I'll just list some of my favorites from my favorite show - Rurouni Kenshin! In no particular order:Kenshin Himura - Gotta start with the titular character. I don't really need to go into detail on this, but, he's just so... calm. Most of the Shonen Heroes you see are brash or hardheaded or stubborn or naive, but Kenshin never loses his cool. Well, he does, but in a different way... plus, he has that nice guy feel, and, of course, the repentance angle.Anji the Destroyer - Following on the whole "repentance" thing. Fallen monks; dunno why, but they're REALLY cool. Seeing him jump from a kind-hearted, skinny little Buddhist guy to a massive, head-crushing beast is interesting. His fight with Sano is one of my favorites in the series, and the Futae no Kiwami is... I dunno... cool? I can't think of a better way to explain it. Sanosuke Sagara - That reminRAB me: Sano is THE MAN. He probably has the best underdog dynamic in Shonen. I think there's maybe one or two characters in the show who don't look at him as some sorry tagalong loser... and he always shows them up. I practically squeal when I watch him attacking Shishio's Battleship, 'cuz it's just so... perfect. Add in a sad past and, again, the badass of the Futae no Kiwami, and you have a character to remeraber.Soujiro Seta - ...what can I say, I like Kenshin. He's got the "impressive youth with a troubled past" thing going for him, which is generic and all, but the twist on it is INCREDIBLY interesting. Smiling to cover the pain, unwavering belief in Shishio, ugh, it's fantastic. And the scene where he goes off on his own journey is probably my favorite in the entire series. It's such a great bookend.I could list a dozen more, but I'm lazy, so I'll only do those.

Here a few that I like

Usopp- He may not be the bravest or strongest of the Strawhats, hell I think it was Luffy JPN VA that said no matter who joins the crew, Usopp will be the weakest meraber, but when push comes to shove, he'll stand up for himself and live up to his promised dream of being the brave warrior of the sea.

Kinniku Mantaro- Again another coward. But when motivated by either Meat, Rinko/Roxanne, or his favorite dish of Cow and Rice, he can kick major butt. Mantaro also has a silly side to him, and I thought that the english dub for Kinnikuman Nisei was awesome.

Kinniku Suguru AKA Kinnikuman- Like Father Like Son, and Mantaro doesn't fall far from Suguru tree.

Here are some more of my favourites:

Misao Makimachi from Rurouni Kenshin (Samurai X)
(Voice Actors: Tomo Sakurai (JP)/Philece Sampler (ENG))

Amuro Ray, Kamille Bidan, Domon Kasshu and Setsuna F. Seiei- I think when you get down to it, a Gundam lead is classically a different kind of human. Anti-social and blunt, yet with a real heart there and the ability to see truths others ignore. They'll go their own way for the greater good they believe in, even if others doubt or attack them. Usually they'll mature and lose certain bad parts of their personality, but at the same time their concerns and outsider views are justified.

My favorite anime/manga characters(mostly the villains since they were awesome,I'm a major villain fan) & four awesome heroes as well.

MY TOP FAVORITE VILLAINS:

The Big Cheese/Bad Bird(Samurai Pizza Cats) - I totally miss that funny wacky show which I loved those 2 funny wacky villains on trying to destroy the Pizza Cats with killer robots.

Majin Buu(Dragonball Z) - Awesome pink powerful demon who's one sadistic killing machine who comes in many different forms which I love his fat cute child-like & original forms the most, they totally ROCK & awesome when he killed Chi-Chi(by turning her into an egg, hehehe)!!!!!!

Myotismon/The Dark Masters/Daemon/The Devas/Cherubimon(Digimon) - As much as I loved Digimon, they were awesome great villains who're the worst of the bunch which I loved their powerful attacks & greatest battles with the DigiDestined.

Sakurako(Ayane's High Kick) - My most favorite female villain who's one tough rich kickboxing chick which I wish to see more of her which sucks that they didn't made more episodes.

Pegasus/Yami Bakura/Yami Marik/Dartz/Kagemaru/Sartorious/Yubel/Sayer/Rudger/Demonic Monkey King Zeman(Yu-Gi-Oh!/GX/5D's) - They were cool villains which they were really evil/dark/creepy/sadistic with awesome powerful monster carRAB,but Marik totally scared the crap out of me with his great scary voice/appearance & this Rudger villain is gonna be the new Marik of the Dark Signers arc.

Millions Knives/Legato(Trigun) - As much as I loved the series from Adult Swim, those two were awesome kickbutt villains with them being cold sadistic monsters wanting to destroy the human race & Knives' duel with Vash was the most EPIC.

Amarao(FLCL) - Mr.Eyebrows was a cool funny villain by trying to destroy Haruko & became a sissy when his eyebrows fell, hahahahawhich Dave Mallow did a an awesome job with his character.

Buggy/Arlong/King Wapol/Crocodile/Lucci/Gecko(One Piece) - As a major One Piece fan, they were awesome villains but Buggy,Lucci & Gecko are the most awesomewhich I love their cool wicked powers & amazing battles with Luffy.

Sherry & Brago/Zeno & Dufort/Grisor & Dr.Hakase/Demolt & Robert/Maestro/Clear Note & Vino(Zatch Bell!) - They were cool awesome villains which Dr.Hakase & Robert Vile are my favorite Steven Blum villains & it's amazing with Sherry & Brago being the only villains to join forces with the heroes up against a powerful evil force & Demolt was a really HUGE SCARY awesome villainwhen I first saw him.

Orihime's Hollow brother/Shrieker/Grand Fisher/Uryu/Mayuri/Captain Yamamoto/Captain Aizen/Jin Kariya/Ryuken/Komui/Captain Amagai/Zonzain/arrancar chick(purplehead)(Bleach) - They were really cool awesome villains which I loved how evil/calculating/powerful Aizen & Jin were& Amagai was powerful/awesome being an Aizen copy, but didn't see that coming which I thought he was a good guy from the start.

Chunyan(Fighting Beauty Wulong) - Awesome sadistic villainess who's a real tough sexy fighting chick of the Prime Mat Tournament & Maolan's major rival who wants to beat Maolan & her own sister, plus her fight with Maolan was awesome.

Lord Nene/General Logi/Delphinium(Blue Dragon) - Both of them were cool interesting villains which their Chimera/Valkryie shadow powers were powerful/awesome in battle & Delphinium has a wicked frightening power,Deathroy.

Lord Genome/Rossiu/Anti-Spiral(Gurren Lagann) - Both of them were awesome scary villains which they had awesome battle mechs with cool design& pretty sweet with Lord Genome turning good in the next season which Jameson Price & Dave Mallow did an awesome job with their evilness.

MY TOP FAVORITE HEROES:

L/Mello/Near(Death Note) - These three cool creepy characters were so awesome which I love their intelligence/sugar addictions/strategies/tactics to crush Kira/Light Yagami & poor L/Mello died which they'll be missed but Near totally kicked Light's butt at the end which L trained him so well.

Matsuda(Death Note) - Meraber of the Task Force who's a hilarious awesome dork which I love his antics like when he got caught by the Yotsuba Group & when he totally kick Light's butt in the finale by shooting,I was impressed by his bravery.

I only possess extensive knowledge of a few anime, so forgive my limited selection, but here are my 3 favorite anime/manga characters:

In no particular order,

Kazuma Kuwabara (Yu Yu Hakusho)

Piccolo (Dragon Ball Z)

Washu (Tenchi Muyo!)

I definitely agree with you on Kuwabara.

Surprisingly enough, I didn't truly appreciate him as a character until I discovered how much the series seemed to lack without him, when I was watching the final arc of YYH (which wasn't bad, but significantly weaker in comparison to most other parts of the series, IMO).

Piccolo is definitely one of my favorite DBZ characters, especially after having seen the 1st arc subbed, with how he made such a great mentor for Gohan. He's not really one of my favorite animated characters of all time anymore, but he might become one of my favorite manga characters if Toriyama did a good job with portraying him in the manga (which I wouldn't doubt).

However, now that I have started to read the Dragonball manga from scratch, I've been discovering what a great character Goku is. Right now I've only been seeing him as a child, but there is just something about how innocent his character is, and how hilarious it is to watch him try to adapt to and understand aspects of the outside world (since he was basically raised in the wilderness through most of his childhood), that makes his character so likeable for me. Its good to know that he keeps most of those qualities with him, even as an adult.

Easy....

A cold and calculating genius that can make sakura petals manly...

The poster says it all...

A psycho that has limits...

Can you really hate Xellos from Slayers? That is such a lovable traitor!
