With the ever rising price of gas at the pump and how it's trickling down through all aspects of the American economy, who is truly fueling the demand? Could it be the U.S Department of defense and it's occupation in Iraq, Afghanistan, etc.? The American public is being ask to cut back and conserve at every corner on every turn while still paying ever upwardly spiraling prices at the pump. Now the high price of fuel has began to show it's ugly head in the commercial sector as well, food prices are being effected as the seemingly ever increasing cost of transportation, diesel skyrockets while the cost again is passed along to the consumer. My question to you is where is the U.S. military role in all this? Does anyone remember stories from the last gas shortage were the U.S. Military was accused of dumping fuel in the dessert to maintain there allotted quotas? I'd be almost willing to wager that it's not the everyday working middle class or the declining dollar or even the industrialization of China and India that are fueling America's woes at the pump, but yet another facet of this country's failed administrations policies and short sighted leadership.
